Horizons is the second studio album by the Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive. It was released on October 6, 2007, through Epitaph Records. The album features a more melodic and varied sound than their previous work, with elements of metal, punk, and hardcore.
Horizons was widely praised by both fans and critics upon its release and has since become a modern metalcore classic. It includes the singles “Boneyards”, “Carrion”, and “Idols and Anchors”.
The album was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and recorded at Zing Studios in Massachusetts, USA. It peaked at number 6 on the Australian ARIA Charts.
Parkway Drive have stated that Horizons was a particularly important album for them, as it marked a turning point in their career and helped to establish them as one of the leading bands in the metalcore genre.
